Folks at CEDA have done this. Can we replicate that setup?

cc'ing @rhysrevans3 here who has done this for CMIP6 netcdf+kerchunk data.

Good question @Yefee, but may I suggest we move this question to a different issue (perhaps @rhysrevan can point to the appropriate repo?) so that we can keep the scope of this issue focused?
