libredirect for YouTube will not open FreeTube appimage

I installed FreeTube appimage. In LibRedirect I set up YouTube to open FreeTube. But, when I open a YouTube URL in the web browser, instead of the resulting popup giving me the option to open FreeTube, the option is "xdg-open". I don't know what that means, nor how to fix it.

AppImage probably is not integrated with system. Use AppImage Launcher, it will bind all the xdg portals correctly. If not use Flatpak or your native package manager.
