Tuesday, 4/9/13
3:15am:
- campus marketplace is done for now.
Because this was a last major view, I think that we really are ready to focus the website on only the Ruby on Rails part; what I mean by this is we can stop working using the workflow we've been working at (with me prototyping in html/css/php and you translating that into rails). Rather, I can have you move everything that you possibly can intos Rails, and I can start working with the styling. Hopefully, we can get it to work perfectly this time.
The only minor views I will need to work on are:
- The Market page
- The Contact page
- Fixing the profile snapshot bar at the top in the profile page
- Fixing the "Close" button for the book assets in the wishlist/inventory
- on click "Close" create an alert to ask if user really wants to delet that book
- fix "Search" button in Search by Books
- change styling of "Find" page in general
- change top navigation bar active background color
- in mightysea heroku, the CSS is off!!! the container for the page is not working. let's fix that.
- tooltip "Why only Facebook?"
- If user is logged in for the first time and activity shows nothing, have an activity that says "You signed up for Texts.com." and then include links to buy, sell, and invite friends on Facebook
- vertical-align navbar on top better
- "Textbooks made easy" jumps down on load of the page
---
Monday, 4/8/13
3:15pm
- added NOTIFICATION to navbar (in navbar.php)
- the CSS ID for notification is #notification
- I'm still trying to figure out the Twitter Bootstrap CSS re-styling of the dropdown buttons on top when I click on the buttons; the background becomes light gray and the font remains white, which makes it hard to read.
----
Sunday, 4/7/13
9:30pm
- added 'signout.php'
- added landing page image.... let me know what you think
- the landing page's top navigation bar is black (the only page where it will be black in order to work visually well with the image)... its in the file called "navbar-unlogged-black.php". the CSS class name is "black" so it's pretty simple. Just wanted to note this.
- added 'school-confirmation.php'
- finished landing page with the illustrations.
----
Saturday, 4/6/13
3:00pm
- added the CLOSE button to the 'inventory.php' for the first two book assets; for time's sake and because it is dynamic, you can take this and add it to all (including in 'wishlist.php')
- a change you can make that Peter and I were talking about: in the navigation sidebar for profile page, it might be better to change wording from "My Inventory" to "Books I Have", and "My Wishlist" to "Books I Want"
- added a new file that shows the inbox of TRANSACTIONS happening (different from ACTIVITY page); the new file is called 'inbox.php'
- added new file: 'campus-marketplace.php'
- added new file: 'profile-sidebar.php' for the sidebar in profile page.
- added new page INBOX to 'profile-sidebar.php'
- 'market-widget.php'
- deleted 'landing.php' because I already have 'index.php'
- added a div class called "empty-box" which appears on Activity/Books I Have/Books I Want when there is no content.
----
Friday, 4/5/13
3:20pm:
- edited transaction.php (finished transaction page)
