its been a year, any word on this getting fixed? vercel is referencing this library as a solution for using vite with vercel in official documentation but its missing this core functionality.

@rafeautie I'm currently working on a v10 which will only be compatible with the next version of Vite (v6), but that will allow me to support /api routes way more easily (and perhaps some others features that only vercel cli supports).
