Adding PMTiles Support in Qt based mobile app

Hi,

I am developing a Qt based Maplibre Native mobile app for android and iOS platform.

I saw a pull request from @tdcosta100 at repo URL https://github.com/tdcosta100/maplibre-native.git with branch "pmtiles-support"

I am building maplibre-native-qt from repo: https://github.com/maplibre/maplibre-native-qt.git, with "main" branch and trying to incorporate code changes from this pull request.

I have simply replaced the existing maplibre-native directory inside vendor/ with the maplibre-native from this pull request and trying to compile the maplibre native Qt SDK.

However, I am facing some compilation errors related to headers not found ( found but at different paths as needed by cpp code)

I think that I should manually chase all commits in this pull request and add changes in related files inside maplibre-native-qt/vendor/maplibre-native. If there is some simpler/easier way of doing this, pls suggest.

I was wondering if I need to write Qt bindings to support PMTiles in Qt app...

I think you need to compile with C++20.

Thanks for your tip, I am able to build maplibre-native "main" branch (containing Pm Tiles pull request merged)

Next, I will put this repo, maplibre-native into maplibre-native-qt 's vendor/ and compile it for Qt Linux.

It's also a submodule there, so you do not need to do big stuff. Just point the submodule to main.

Pointed maplibre-native to "main" branch and did submodule update. Can see the git logs about PM Tiles work.

Then, run cmake with params as follows:-
cmake .. -G Ninja -DCMAKE_C_COMPILER_LAUNCHER="ccache" -DCMAKE_CXX_COMPILER_LAUNCHER="ccache" -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=./install -DCMAKE_TOOLCHAIN_FILE=/home/ns/Qt/6.8.0/gcc_64/lib/cmake/Qt6/qt.toolchain.cmake -DMLN_QT_WITH_INTERNAL_ICU=ON

Then, on running ninja, getting this error:-

maplibre-native-qt/src/core/map.cpp:17:10: fatal error: mbgl/gl/custom_layer.hpp: No such file or directory
 17 | #include <mbgl/gl/custom_layer.hpp>

Also, there is other error related to c++ 20, which I am working on now.

The cmake version on my linux PC is 3.28.3.
Will be updating cmake and trying with c++ 20 for compilation, once these headers are resolved.
