Hi, I did not yet test it but a simple way to drive 5Volt-LEDs is by powering the first LED by 4.3 Volts. Take simply a DIODE
+5 -|>| - 4.3 Volts ---> To power the first LED.
The second LED should be connected to the normal 5 Volts-Rail.
The first LED will transform the digital signal from 3.3 Volts to 5 Volts.
In my case, it works perfect. I cannot even identify the less brigther LED.
Marcel, perhaps this info makes it easier for others to start. I had only a strip of 5Volt-LEDs.
