taptool: open just topmost point in range?

@giovannipizzi I've actually not been able to reproduce this behavior (neither with Chrome nor with Safari) - even when clicking on an area where a large number of tooltips is shown, it always opens just one new tab.
Perhaps your plot somehow ended up in a strange state (there are definitely still ways to mess it up currently).

I'm closing this for the moment, happy to reopen.

In my case it does not happen in Chrome, but it does happen every time in Safari, even when opening and not interacting with/changing the plot. Same behaviour both when iframed and when opened directly from discover.materialscloud.org
