mmomni.yml vs config.json

Hello, and apologies if this is an inappropriate place to post this!

I'm running Mattermost 8.0, installed via Omnibus. I've posted this question in the MM forums, and scoured the web like crazy. I'm no closer to an answer yet.

My question is, since an Omnibus install doesn't use config.json, should I be placing the config code for WelcomeBot into my mmomni.yml file? The formatting is different between the two files, and I don't want to break anything.

I'm very excited for the potential of this plugin, and I'd love any help you can provide on successfully configuring it. Thanks in advance!
