Channel welcome message is buggy

If I set a channel welcome message for Town Square as well as have an automatic join channel it appears the welcome message does not appear.

Also, if I set welcome messages for channels and then join that channel via the Welcomebot button clicks I see unread message indicator for channel but upon clicking I see no channel welcome message.

I just discovered the same issue today. It's really inconvenient, I thought that all the new users were seeing the message for weeks.

So when a user is added to a team they are automatically added to the town square so if you set the team welcome message that in practice become the town square welcome message. Considering that users can't leave the default town-square I am interested in the use case for adding the welcome message to the town square.

@Mmoushon two things:

• channel welcome messages are easier to set (no server level json changes required)
• if I recall correctly, channel welcome messages show up inline whereas team welcome message appears in DM

More problematic than above is that channels auto-joined via team welcome action never show their configured welcome message
