Grep

usage:

Grep(FILTER, TESTDEEP_OPERATOR|EXPECTED_VALUE)

Grep would be a smuggler operator allowing to reduce a slice before comparing its content.

Accepted input: any slice or array.
Output: slice

If the input is []T or [n]T, FILTER could be:

• func (T) bool
• a TestDeep operator

Examples of use:

got := []int{8, 6, -5, 0, -7}

// This one succeeds
td.Cmp(t, got, td.Grep(func (x int) bool { return x > 0 }, []int{8, 6}))

// The same using a TestDeep operator as FILTER
td.Cmp(t, got, td.Grep(td.Gt(0), []int{8, 6}))

// EXPECTED_VALUE as a TestDeep operator
td.Cmp(t, got, td.Grep(func (x int) bool { return x > 0 }, td.Bag(6, 8)))

// Both FILTER & EXPECTED_VALUE are TestDeep operators
td.Cmp(t, got, td.Grep(td.Gt(0), td.Bag(6, 8)))

Used for an array:

got := [5]int{8, 6, -5, 0, -7}

// The EXPECTED_VALUE is a slice
td.Cmp(t, got, td.Grep(func (x int) bool { return x > 0 }, []int{8, 6}))
