Package load time for meow seems to dominate emacs startup.

I'm just starting to use meow and noticed that on adding just the basic meow configuration, my startup times have gone up significantly. Is this normal?

I use use-package to load packages and the following is the startup report. (Not defering meow load for now).

What unit is used in the report, seconds?

Yes, the unit is seconds.
I tried it with (meow-use-dynamic-face-color nil) and there was no significant difference.
Do you have any other suggestions on how to profile it?

The load time should definitely be much faster. Which profiler you are using? Let me try it as well.
