subproject options not works

I think meson hate me.
I'm try to build a simple test firmware for esp32 mcu, from my previus question, use configure file, have try to use it but not working.
I have create subproject with two options and try to set its from cross.ini file but not works.
if build in command line this works correct:

$ meson setup build --cross-file cross/esp32.new.ini -Dlibmerge:lib-name=libidfesp32.a -Dlibmerge:prefix-name=arduino.esp32

but if set the subprojects value in cross file stop working
