Consider having flash fail if the flash file system is too large

We introduced a file system limit on #55 but I exempted the "flash" message as it's too late in the day to figure out how we should communicate that failure to users in the Python Editor and we also don't have a clear path to return an error to the embedding app. One to reconsider in future.
