I run MicroG Service Core 0.2.10.19420 with Deja Vu, GSM Location and (just for testing, normally without) Mozilla backends on my Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact running LineageOS 16.0.
This might be a similar or same topic as this issue but I don't really get the technical stuff...

Anyway, I don't get any network-based location fixes via 4G (self-check is missing this last two points). When forcing down to 3G or 2G its working flawlessly, all points marked in self-check and location fix with satstat and osmand are working perfectly (indoors with GPS-fused location or with Network-only).

Tried to reinstall, both manually and via nanodroid. I removed com.qualcomm.location, set the permissions and so on but nothing helped. Very annoying as 3G is just to slow...

I don't really now how to make a decent log, please advice if needed, sorry!

Thanks for your help...

GSM Location does not support 4G/LTE or 5G, only GSM and WCDMA. You can tell by looking at the source code. The project has not been maintained for a long time.
I am working on a fork of the project that does support all current technologies and works with Android 10.

For a number of reasons it is highly unlikely that I will be maintaining any of the UnifiedNLP/MicroG location backends that I wrote. This includes the local GSM backend referred to by @ploink

Would it be possible for the ownership of those GitHub projects be transferred to be under the microG umbrella?
