Hello,
I have some problem with this configuration. Also the tool Mozilla Stumbler doesn't work.
I used the last apk from F-droid and the release version of Omni Rom.
I saw some logcat but there is no information to understand the issue ...

For information, LocalGsmNlpBackend works with a database celldb.

If you have any test to make or tips, it will be greatfull.

Best regards,
Wark.

Can you install SatStat and check its third tab upper section output. It should show some cell information, are there multiple entries or a single one? Are the numbers consistent (MCC and MNC should be the same for all entries)? Are there empty fields in the entries, especially in cell id and LAC?

I have a similar problem on my Xperia-S AOSP 6.0.1. I have no gapps installed and use your great Nlp backend for geolocation without gps.
Everything works just fine, except for getting location with only cell information. With other words: only location over wifi works. If I set my location to "battery saving" (no gps) and I turn off wifi, then my phone is unable to retrieve its location. Still, mozilla stumbler works great for me and seems to collect cell information without any problem.
I was not able to find that satsat app, so I can't provide any more information for now, but maybe you can tell me how to provide useful information to solve the problem?
