Reporting Issues on Windows Subsystem for Android™️

Contributing

This repository is for developers porting, debugging or optimizing apps for Windows Subsystem for Android, or for developer issues with the subsystem. If your concern isn't a bug or feature request, please use Discussions.

Labels

All of our issue labels can be found here.

  • If we are investigating your issue, we may tag it with the needs-investigation label
  • If we need more information about how to reproduce your bug, we may tag it with the need-repro label

🐛 Bugs

Please file a bug only for developer issues with the subsystem.

  • Please avoid filing duplicates of open or closed bugs
  • All new bugs will automatically be tagged with the bug label
  • Always include the version number of Windows Subsystem for Android in the Version Number field of the bug. You can find your version number in the Windows Subsystem for Android Settings app, under the About section. This will look something like "2207.40000.8.0".

⚙️ Feature Requests

Please be as detailed as possible when describing your feature request, as well as the use-case it would address.

  • Please avoid filing duplicates of open or closed feature requests
  • All new feature requests will automatically be tagged with the feature-request label

📚 Documentation Issue

Please file documentation issues is there are any errors or gaps in the Windows Subsystem for Android developer documentation or with this GitHub repository.

Closing issues

Issues may be closed by the original poster at any time. Internal Microsoft may close issues and label them with fixed, fix-inbound, duplicate or by-design labels when appropriate. We may close issues if:

  • The issue is not a bug
  • The issue has been addressed
  • The issue is a duplicate of another issue
  • Lacking critical information with no user follow-up
