Thanks for the ping @anthonykim1 and @DonJayamanne - yes indeed, the problem appears fixed using native locator in latest pre-release |
In my case, this is still an issue. The python extension only loads when Python Locator is set to "js". When using "native" the extension never loads. |

Unfortunately the issue #23968 #23963 has come back, version:
v2024.13.2024082001 (pre-release)
Locator is set to
native
. The workaround withjs
works but only after a relatively long load time this time (5-10 seconds)When starting vscode, Python extension never finishes loading, gets stuck at "Reactivating terminals".
