Settings editor is quite jaggy and jumpy

When scrolling through the Settings editor or when changing some untouched values, the Settings editor frantically jumps to other, unrelated settings, i.e. changes vertical offset inexplicably.

Moreover, sometimes the editor doesn't correctly update. While the values gets changed in settings.json, the GUI still shows the previous value.
