I did the install on a BananaPi M1 using Armbian with piVCCU (ready to flash version for beginners).

This part has not worked for me:

Now log out and re-login with the newly create user smarthome.

Configure pm2

I needed to configure the PM2 as root. If not I got weird error messages with architecture mismatches.

Just for info. Mayabe this will help somebody else also.
