It seems that the IGO sample submission site might be using a different crosswalk table than the one that SMILE uses for mapping patient IDs.
Pavitra is able to pull up a CMO ID C-P456M2 through the IGO sample submission site but SMILE isn't able to find any mapping with this CMO ID or with the DMP ID associated with the corresponding MRN.
Interestingly, even though the MRN is linked to a DMP ID (as per the mpath site), the same MRN only maps to a CMO ID in the sample submission site but not the DMP ID.
Pavitra's workflow:
Mpath -> enter DMP patient ID -> get MRN -> enter MRN on sample submission site -> get CMO ID (but no DMP ID)
NOTE: Confirmed with David that the sample submission site is accessing an endpoint and not querying a database directly for ID mappings. Unsure at this time what is supplying the mappings to the endpoint they're using. An email was sent to Kai on 11/18.
