Aram Panasenco. Data warehouse architect at a cancer hospital. Fell in love with Prolog after reading @triska's The Power of Prolog ~3 years ago. Have been trying to find ways to apply it ever since... 🙂 |

Hi! I'm Adrián Arroyo. I work at Telefónica, a big telecommunications company in Europe and Latin America. My role is backend developer in the HaaC platform (Home as a Computer) we're developing and my main work tools are Python, Kotlin, and Microsoft Azure (k8s, EventHub, ...). So no Prolog... yet :( I started with Prolog in university, as it is mandatory as part of the studies. From the beginning, I wanted to play with Prolog because they told me it was just like the logic I did at high school. It wasn't really the case but I ended up liking it so when I was going to finish my degree I did my end-of-degree project (I don't know if other countries have this, it's like a small thesis) in Prolog and Semantic Web (here). Today, I still go to the university to teach a few hours a week some AI subjects, one of them is Prolog. I'm really looking forward to seeing what others can build, there's already very interesting stuff! Also, my wish is to have a bigger community, with better interop with other "real world" software (databases, graphics, etc). That's why I contributed to Scryer with the HTTP server and UUIDv4 libraries. |

Jacob Friedman- I'm a media developer looking towards a distributed/p2p logic system. I contacted Mark Thom because I was interested in a general-purpose (ubiquitous/accessible) axiomatic framework... that was Prolog! Now lurking because I've found an interesting abstract machine from U. Neumerkel which could be used to build WebAssembly from Prolog. |

Torbjörn Josefsson here - I've worked a lot with Prolog (Sicstus) commercially, mostly with business rules for product configuration / loan / insurance analysis. |

Maybe that's time to introduce myself, so my commits don't look like they come from a random stranger. I'm a professional S/W developer (mostly C, but other languages too). I've learned Prolog at the university, but it was taught as a quirky AI language (together with some other niche "AI" languages, what a strange classification) that is good for describing genealogical relations – which didn't sell the language well and most students forgot it even faster than learned it. But somehow I liked it and Prolog is still a little passion of mine. After observing this repository for couple of years and watching excellent series the Power of Prolog by @triska I've decided to invest some of my free time to help the project and possibly do something useful with the language I like. I think I know Prolog on an adequate level, but I never used it commercially. My current plan is to find unsolved bugs and fix them in my free time. I wish bright future to the Scryer Prolog! |
