data consumption on cell phones/mobile devices #119
Comments
I can't say much about the Android app but I do have changes in #109 which add local caching for the repeater DB. My notes say the repeater DB download is only 5 MB (in my local tests). |
Hello Kai. Thanks and 73 |
Additional info: So what's the reason for having this pile of data on apple devices? vy 73 de Cornel |
Hello,
a friend of mine begged me to post an issue concerning the data consumption of the cloudLogOffline-app. He remarked a package of 464 MB after starting the app. I don't know the time period in which this data is consumed, but he is worried about what's going on there.
So please check this issue and let me/us know, which data is downloaded or uploaded by the app, producing this huge amount of MB.
I assumed, that there is only a few MB of downloading some repeater-data or communication with the cloudlog-instance. But this wouldn't explain the high rate of data consumption.
As a personal purpose please let me know, if there's a way, to geht the APK-File for my mobile device on Android 11 without Google-Services?!
Thanks and 73
Cornel, DK5CR
