I'm working on a similar module for Graphite and I just found out if WriterKey() is unique across instance, then it's always the same instance used for login.
This becomes a problem if for some reason you want to have multiple InfluxDB Loggers for a site

Thanks for bringing this up. I am currently not planning on having multiple InfluxDB Loggers. But I keep this open to remind me or others of that
