Messages received multiple times

We have been having a problem with two of our channels. They are both TCP Listeners receiving messages from two different sources. We end up receiving some messages multiple times - anywhere from 2 to 3000 times. They are identical messages, so I believe the sender is resending because they didn't get the appropriate ACK in a timely manner. Can anyone suggest what we should be looking at or what settings we can change to avoid this happening? Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. I just thought since we have seen it with two different channels now, that it might be something on our side.

If it's only happening on some of the messages, you typically need to ask the other side what they're seeing. you could of course tune the timeouts. they might need to do the same on their side as well.

A few things:

• Enable the extra columns in the message view - Are you seeing the messages process relatively fast and ACKing?
• When the message stops sending, look at the timing and ACK for the last message. Is there something different or faster about that last message?
• Ensure your side is sending ACKs back in Mirth (seems obvious, but like double check jajajaja)
• Get a packet capture and watch for closed or dropped connections, see that the HL7 ACK goes back and gets a TCP ACK too

Ok, stupid question. How do I see if I'm sending an ack? I thought I was but the other side says they aren't getting it. Thanks.
