NIP-0: Making proposals for protocol changes

TL;DR

Each NIP is a proposal to make protocol changes in Nimble. No changes can be made without NIPs.

Problem

Developers have no channels to formalize change requests. Issues and pull requests can be too scattered and small.

What is an NIP?

An NIP, Nimble Improvement Proposal, is a design document that proposes changes to Nimble Network - the Composable AI Protocol.

Agile Development

Being agile is very important to keep high development velocity.

• The format does not matter at this stage to move fast, only if the proposal is clear.
• Each NIP only has three statuses: WIP, Under Review and Approved.
• Once an NIP is approved, engineer resources are deployed immediately to launch it ASAP.

We will iterate the process as the protocol evolves.
