Failing upstream diff. A GitHub issue? #6
Comments
Also ping @vmg (accidentally noticed a real person seemingly working at GitHub just a few minutes ago). |
Hey, I left GitHub 3 years ago! I'm afraid I can't help with this. :) |
Cheers! |
That user is shadowbanned, so you can't easily watch their activities. To avoid full ban I share only images with diff:
Shadowbans exists on GitHub long: 2017+ as not from the earlier period. |
@krystian3w, thanks for your response. @github, please fix the issue. You are misleading the open source users. |
Apparently pinging the organization's account does not generate notifications. They are also not to be confused with the teams that can be formed in an organization and then a member of a sub-team can briefly ping everyone as if they are not directly selecting a specific person. I suppose the shadowban will not be revoked. Perhaps your "problems" with specific plugin/program have long since been fixed by the project: https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs (it has about 9,900+ forks) Only a tad dismayed by the presence of open 6K issues and 4.2K PR-s, when making about 200 changes per week. |
Issue description
There is something wrong with the original repo volth/nixpkgs-windows which this repo is cloned from.
Steps to reproduce
Technical details
GitHub shows this repo being 11 commits behind volth:windows.
But when I follow the link, GitHub says it has nothing to compare with:
The original repo returns
404
.But the repository seemingly isn't deleted. Otherwise there would be zero references to it (I tested that recently).
Now branches page in this repo shows user @volth to be present:
But going to his profile returns me
404
too:@github, what's going on with the upstream?
And how can we retrieve these 11 commits?
