HSS-matfun

Matlab code for the computation of f(A), where A is a Hermitian HSS matrix.

The main algorithm is "hss2_funm_symm_telescop" which takes as an input a matrix in hss2 format. To convert a full matrix into hss2 one can use the routine "full_to_hss2".

This repository contains the code to reproduce all the numerical experiments from the preprint ``A. A. Casulli, D. Kressner, and L. Robol, Computing Functions of Symmetric Hierarchically Semiseparable Matrices, 2024, https://arxiv.org/abs/2402.17369''.
