Alt text for images in links

Even though we're considering most of the images decorative, since they are links they need to have a text alternative. This could be adding meaningful alt text, but I wonder if it isn't better to gather the project names, images, and contribute buttons into a single link -- also because the multiple links to the same URL will be repetitive to screen reader.

A third alternative is to make the images not links.

Alt tags have been updated with the name of the corresponding app. Any future revisions of these alt tags should be to contextualize where image link leads to rather than describing what's depicted in the images. (If image descriptions are included they should appear as longdesc attributes.

We still need to decide if we want to keep the image, title, and contribute/explore buttons as separate links or combine them.
