it would be nice to have "workspaces" -- multiple patterns running at the same time, on the same machine, with a name. this would make it so that all the patterns don't have to coexist in the same (visual) space.
i am on the fence about whether or not patterns should be a "formal" element as part of ST, or merely a UI convenience. If it were a formal design element, you could potentially define a pattern A and send to pattern B.
