Hello,
What are the OS prerequisites for installing OAR components (oarnodes/oar-frontend/oar-server/...) ?
OAR use only functions available with the linux kernel (for ex. the use of cpuset, cgroups, ...) and there is no adherence to distributions ?
We can build on any OS without compatibility problem ?
There is a risk to use a new OS like AlmaLinux or RockyOS (for ex.) ?
In the future, OAR will keep support for RHEL-OS based ?
Thanks

We test and maintain support for Debian-based distributions.
For Centos, work has been done in the past, but new contributions to support recent versions of RHEL or derivatives such as Rocky Linux would be very welcome.
OAR usually takes benefits of the cgroups (currently v1) but this is optional. There is no requirement any Linux distribution couldn't meet as far as I know.
