ie7, disabling selected items #6

In ie7, setting the 'disabled' attribute on items does not work (due to a limitation of ie7)

This means that when using selectlist in ie7, users cannot see which items they have already picked.

Could selectlist employ a workaround, like changing the colour of the item?
