Meetings with potential partner orgs #166
Comments
Emailed Amy Stansbury from Austin EcoNetwork (board member at Generation Citizen) for a meeting. |
Discussing this Thursday 6/15 |
Latinitas is interested in discussing how to integrate use of Budget Party into their after school programs this fall. They have about 10 - 15 after school clubs, and each of these clubs has 8-10 girls participating (so 100+ students). They want to meet with someone to talk about:
@mateoclarke and @VictoriaODell Who can I follow up with to set up a meting with them to discuss this? |
Awesome news! I think we should discuss IRL, but I could see @secmorris (Sarah Morris) playing a role in this, especially regarding integration and training. (Assuming she's interested and available). |
That's great! @danielryne put me in touch with Latinitas to chat about the fake news curriculum, and I'm setting up a July meeting with them. But I'd be very happy to talk about integrating budget party as well. Should we set up an IRL meeting with @mateoclarke @VictoriaODell, me, and Latinitas sometime? |
I have a number of contacts within Boys and Girls Club, which has a partnership with Dell for 'Club Tech'. This could be a great avenue for getting the curriculum into schools/after-school clubs. I also know some charter school teachers and administrators that would be definitely willing to provide feedback and consideration. |
This issue has changed a lot but recently @alexpriceco met with Generation Citizen to chat more with them about the use of the curriculum. |
