Key points of meeting were:

• Carolines database is run and maintained by a Museum (Burke Museum)
• She is not limited by space for data.
• Students did the work to collect and process samples. low cost.
• She has been limited with time to upload images but has now hired a curator to work on the palaeobotanty collection.
• Samples came from collecting in the field, herbarium and botanical gardens.
• Always make a voucher specimen to double check the id of samples.
• They are feeding their collection into a wider Pbot collection system - not set up fully yet but they are collaborating on the schemas.
• use of collection - they have not collected data on the online use but have had researchers that come to use the physical slide collection.
• She is working with computer science researchers to develop a algorithm for identifying 2D and 2D images of phytoliths and these images are in a separate website.
