Improve documentation for the update, backup and restore scripts #1021

These scripts are not well known and the documentation is very thin...

Backup and Restore (Linux)
Backup (Windows)
Backup (iOS)

Upgrade (Linux)
Upgrade (Windows)
Update (iOS)

Since they are all using the same scripts, couldn't these all be combined into a section that is not OS specific? If there are differences for the different OSs, it would be great to be able to use tabs in the docs.
