Describe the Issue

The recent performance profiling has shown some areas where the app takes a while to load data. In some cases, the pages end up freezing and do not give users an indication that some loading is ongoing.
We would like to define default spinners that should be shown when these areas take a while to load.
@HenryRae and @dubdabasoduba will work with @ellykits to define the spinners and then break the ticket into something workable
