Hi!

I'm trying to put this data into a working version of traffic-engine-app. Where would I put it?

I would like to reiterate this question as i believe it to be a serious and glaring omission from the readme.

@cesarandreslopez @aut0maticjack - I forgot to edit my comment that I contacted the project owner via e-mail and got a reply stating that, while they have a running prototype, some of the potential traffic data providers backed out and the lead developer is no longer working there.

They meant to update the website to resemble the fact that OpenTraffic will stay in the "concept phase" for the time being.

@Harti Thanks for getting back so quickly!

So, to be clear, I am to understand that the knowledge to properly integrate the App package and the data-set package left with the lead developer??

@aut0maticjack I tried implementing it on a local server and all I got to work was displaying a map where (if data were available) I theoretically could display traffic speeds/flows and such.
Even if you found a way to crack the data open and install everything, I highly doubt it will prove to be any useful for whatever you're planning on doing. :(

Unfortunately, it turns out that this isn't the holy grail of (freely available) traffic data after all - it's merely a poorly documented proof-of-concept prototype of something that was supposed to become the schematic foundation of a now abandoned project.

It's disappointing, I know - but I would suggest not to waste any (more) of your time with this.

Thank you for all your help. I am going to try and pass the protobufs
through logstash out of my own curiosity, but other than that I am probably
done here.
sad.
do you know of any other projects in this space?

@aut0maticjack @Harti I actually got it working and should be able to provide a step by step here within a week if interested.
