WalletConnect connectivity issue: Uncaught (in promise) Error: WebSocket connection failed for the host: wss://relay.walletconnect.org

Issue Overview:
We are using Wagmi 1.4.2 along with the WalletConnect package for connecting users' wallets in our app. While everything works smoothly for users in India, users in Nigeria are facing issues with the WalletConnect modal. Specifically, they're encountering the error:

Uncaught (in promise) Error: WebSocket connection failed for the host: wss://relay.walletconnect.org
Additionally, the WalletConnect modal doesn't open at all for them.

Also, the wallet connect modal just doesn't open for them. So I wanted to ask the following questions:

1. Can it be due to the reason that the project ID that we are using, we haven't verified the domain of our app?
2. Should I upgrade to the higher version of Wagmi and then this would be resolved?
3. What else should we try?
