In the intro video for customizing the icons Custom Icons with PrimeVue - YouTube Cagatay mentions that you might want to use custom icons, e.g Font Awesome or HeroIcons.
I couldn't agree more. However, it seems the only suggestion is to manually overwrite the icon per instance of the component. This is impractical and doesn't come across as "PrimeIcons are optional".
Of course one could create your component version of each component e.g WDropDown and set the template, and inherit all the other props/slots, etc but man that rather a lot of work for "custom icons".
It would be amazing if there was a way to support icon customization globally somehow.
Maybe at the registration phase in the app entry point or with some global configuration.
