Attaching images to a work item will make unsaved added text outdated, and forced to discard #73

This bug seems to have been introduced sometime in the last 6 months or so. I haven’t reported it because I haven’t been irritated enough to actually sit down and take the time to capture everything I needed to report it. Here are the replication steps:

  1. Create a work item (I don’t think it matters what type it is, but my screenshots are of a story)
  2. Add a title and a few paragraphs of important details into the body of the work item

  1. Attach an image from your computer

  1. Click on the “Save and close” button

The result: The story is identified as being “changed by someone else since you opened it.”… but that’s not true. I have simply attached images and it has overwritten the save.

This is extremely frustrating when you have added a bunch of details into a story and committed SERIOUS time into filling out these work items in a BUNCH of different area’s of the work item to only find out that after you attached your image it killed everything. I have taken the time to copy and paste all of the different text area’s into a text editor in order to re-copy it back over, but it takes a ton more time to do that.
