I've had some confusion about this app, has it supported Nextcloud? Thanks!

Be interested in an answer - but if not, happy to look at supporting a fork for Nextcloud support, targetting 10.x

I am currently aiming to also support Nextcloud with a completely rewritten approach in my fork. The user_cas base is currently at an extremely old code base which needs a clean rewrite.

@felixrupp Any update?

@oparoz currently still figuring out some issues in my rewrite. If you want to test it in a Nextcloud environment, please don't hesitate to post all feedback you have. I'm currently focusing on getting it to run seamlessly in Owncloud as a no. 1 priority. After that, Nexctloud support will be added.

@felixrupp I'm testing your version with Nextcloud 10 at the moment. So far, I can log in with CAS without any problems, but I don't seem to be able to stay logged in for more than a few minutes of inactivity.

Also, I'm getting a WSOD every time I'm trying to change any of the user_cas settings through the admin page, so at the moment, I have to edit these directly in the database.

I had another look at this, and I found out that my issue with not being able to save settings was actually caused by another app (files_mv) that I was testing. Once I disabled that, my CAS settings saved as they should.

I'm still getting logged out after a few minutes though, and this happens in both Nextcloud 10 and ownCloud 9.1. It appears to be linked to this issue: nextcloud/server#1303

I also tried updating Nextcloud to version 11, but then I wasn't able to log in at all: In the log, I first get a 'login successful' message from admin_audit, but then a 'login failed' from core.

Hi @reswild,
thanks for your feedback. I'm still at developing for Owncloud, so native Nextcloud support is still a future thing, as I'm currently not having much time for development.

The logout-after-few-minutes bug is something I also have experienced.

So have you gotten the app work with ownCloud 10 then? I believe that is the matching version to Nextcloud 11.

@reswild not yet, currently working on it.

Hi @reswild,

I just released the 1.4.5 version of my user_cas rewrite with OC 10 only support. After a few struggles with 9.1, this version is currently working very well on OC 10 installations. It has also almost all features of the old style user_cas version. The only thing missing is the ldap support, which is part of my next scheduled feature set.

Feel free to test this release with Nextcloud 11. I will also start a few tests next week!

Please report any issues/feature requests you have to the issue tracker on my repository, otherwise I will not be able to find and read them in time.

Have fun with it!

Felix
