Seen with files_antivirus-1.1.0-rc.3 using a McAfee Webgateway backend.

  • Start editing a text file with files_texteditor.
  • Remove all text, paste eicar_com.txt
  • Wait for autosave. A virus alert appears overlayed on the text. BAD.

The message from McAfee Webgateway normally looks like this:

Other Backends (e.g. Fortinet) show their virus message in the top status row of the texteditor window:

Expected behaviour:

  • McAfee also prints the virus message in the top status row of the texteditor window.

either to be fixed in core (to place the notification on top most layer) or in texteditor(tp place the editor on a lower layer)
