mail links not working MacOS

I had a bunch of notes that had links in them created by dragging a message from email into the Obsidian note. They were in this format. [Your tutoring session replay is ready](message:%[email protected]%3E)

They've been converted to this [[message:<OKa_icMrRG6BdSkDXCEixQ@geopod-ismtpd-3-1>|Your tutoring session replay is ready]] which fails and the link is now broken.

I was playing with converting to and from wiki links and markdown links and both shortest possible and relative. I didn't notice the problem until I was reviewing my notes and realized I can no longer get to message. So I'm not sure exactly what steps will be needed to reproduce this but I'll do more checking over the next few days. Just wanted to alert to a possible problem.
