Current Behavior:

I tried the 14 (AP2A.240805.005) build on my tab s7 and duo2, both devices don't enter doze mode and drain an abnormal amount of battery.

Describe the bug

Doze doesn't trigger, battery drain is high, screen off drain / idle drain is massive

To Reproduce

  1. Turn the screen off
  2. Get a big drain
  3. Go to settings
  4. Battery
  5. See that the cpu is used an abnormal amount, usage being super high.

Expected behavior

doze should trigger, battery life should be good

Smartphone (please complete the following information):

  • Device: duo2, tab s7 wifi
  • Build Flavor: in both cases custom build, but i am certain this is an issue in the source
  • Version 14 (AP2A.240805.005)

Additional context

Here is how i fixed it: I noticed com.phone.android was constantly crashing in the background, so i used adb to uninstall it completely. I could only try this on my tab s7 because my duo2 needs sim capability, but in the case of the tab s7, it completely fixed the issue. If the issue is caused by the app, the fix should be relatively easy. I hope this saves you some time!
