Strange Spacing with Custom Fonts

I followed the custom fonts guide to convert Poppins into a uikit compatible font. However, I noticed that that there is some extra spacing between the words when displayed with uikit. I am not sure if this is an issue with the conversion process or how the custom fonts are handled.
