Currently, the pipeline uses the mist_atlas workflow for atlas selection. However, we need to introduce a more flexible workflow that allows fetching various types of atlases.

We had such an implementation in the past, which had to be removed due to problems that are not known anymore. Investigate the old code and try to bring back the functionality while ensuring compatibility with current dependencies. If needed, completely rewrite the atlas fetching workflow.
