Wiki pages are not getting converted

Wiki pages gets modernized

Observed Behavior

Using the script, wiki pages did not get converted. Error says pages are deleted but pages are in library, not in recycle bin.
Tried converting a single page from the wiki library. When executing the script, found that the page is getting modernized but getting stored inside ‘Site Pages’ library instead of the source wiki library.

Steps to Reproduce

Run the script replacing the wiki library instead of 'Site Pages' in $pages = Get-PnPListItem -List sitepages -PageSize 500
