No

Describe the solution you'd like

I would like if possible the same tool without the alphabetic list, like that people will not see our admin account or other no people account.

Again thank you for this tool and sharing it with us.

Best,
David

HI, even if you removed the alphabetical list those accounts would still surface when someone searches for an account. I would recommend creating a new property that can be put on the user profiles... to filter them out with search, and then you could update the web part to exclude this property.

Happy to help provide advice if you want to go down this route.

I'll re-open this for an enhancement. However be aware of my previous comment, as it those Admin accounts would still show up, even with the removal of the alphabet.

I will take this, but re-emphasize @bcameron1231 comments that removing the alphabetical list will not filter out admin accounts.

Hello, thanks yes I know admin account will be available but generally they will search for someone so admin account should be less visible. Do you think there is a way to hide them by changing someting in my AD ?

Best,
David.

@Anakinnuvisan As mentioned in my previous post, you would need a property on the User Profile to exclude them, or you would have to update the Search KQL query to exclude the values from the results. This would require an update to the source code, a re-bundle/package and deployment of your solution.

Here is a link to SharePoint KQL documentation if you need some guidance on using KQL https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/dev/general-development/keyword-query-language-kql-syntax-reference

I have put a lot of my tips and tricks regarding people search filtering in this blog post, perhaps you might find it useful: https://ms365thinking.blogspot.com/2023/05/sharepoint-people-search-how-to-clean.html?m=1
