FlairHQ currently allows users to only put in friend codes for 3DS and Switch. With r/pokemontrades also allowing HOME trading, and trading in HOME requires friend code exchanges, it would be very beneficial for making trading easier.

I am willing to help and create the PR for this.

Hi MercuryEnigma, we currently don't have the capability to do it ourselves so feel free to work on it if you can. Please note that the new code format will surely break the banning routine, so you would have to ensure it works for both Home and 3DS/Switch FCs.
