[Bug] Applets should not be affected by focus follows cursor

Issue/Bug description:
With focus follows cursor enabled and the delay set to a low value, the applets are unusable
Steps to reproduce:
Set focus follows cursor on, set delay to 0, try to interact with an applet

Expected behavior:
Applets should not unfocus when moving the mouse off.
Other notes:
The gap could be removed but I think the better solution is to completely exclude applets from focus follows cursor, and make them behave the same as without focus follows cursor
