I'm pretty sure the devs are very aware of this, but I just wanted to file this issue for visibility.
When the dock is set to automatically hide, it glitches when the mouse moves around to unhide it. Moving the mouse towards the bottom of the screen (like I have it in my current settings) causes the dock to continuously try to unhide and then immediately hide every frame, or so, even if it was already visible. If you keep moving the mouse in the down, left, or right directions, the dock just keeps trying to hide, even when it shouldn't.
If the cursor is moved in the up direction (even if it's very slightly), the dock actually realizes it doesn't have to hide, and it stays visible, and it remains visible until the cursor moves away from it, at which point, it will properly go into hiding mode.
